Our Story
In 2018, the Journey of Happy Days Houseboats began. It was always a longtime ambition of mine to own a Houseboat. I thought it a great investment not to mention an opportunity to develop a new Business that included the Beautiful and Iconic Murray River and all the Beauty she has to offer. The search for the Right Houseboat led me to purchase a Houseboat named «Moon Shadow» a 12 berth 5 bedroom with an optional 6th bedroom Houseboat. Moon Shadow needed a bit of work, her bones were great and she provided a perfect base to turn her into the Luxury, Modern Houseboat you see today. During a complete refurbishment inside and out, Moon Shadow was transformed and renamed «Happy Days». My association with Rob Hughes at River Murray Houseboats in Paringa/Renmark was growing ever stronger during this period, so I made a decision to move Happy Days to Paringa and have Rob manage Happy Days for me. My relationship with Rob and Jenna has been great, and that is where Happy Days has lived and operated since 2018.
A Special Partnership
With the success of Happy Days, I soon thought about adding a second Houseboat to the Business. I purchased a Houseboat named «Serenity» in 2020. Looking for something slightly different to Happy Days, Serenity is a 10 Berth Houseboat incorporating 4 individual bedrooms all with ensuite access. This provided a great alternative to Happy Days without compromising on the Luxury Houseboat theme. Serenity provides an intimate easy to operate Houseboat with all the Luxury Trimmings expected when Hirers step on board.
Growth: Welcome Serenity

The Future
In 2023, we took the exciting step of managing Happy Days Houseboats ourselves. We set up a base in Murray Bridge, where we will oversee both Happy Days and Serenity. Serenity will be relocated to Riverglen Marina near Murray Bridge in October 2023, followed shortly by Happy Days. We’re committed to providing the best experience for our guests.

We chose Riverglen Marina as our new location due to its convenient access to Murray Bridge, where you’ll find all the shopping facilities you need. With secure parking, including undercover options, a separate boat ramp in the marina, and easy access to the beautiful Murray River, Riverglen Marina is the perfect starting point for your river holiday.
